Tashkent to Host Uzbekistan-Pakistan Joint Commission Meeting on November 3-4

TASHKENT: The 9th meeting of the Uzbekistan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Joint Commission (UPIJC) will be held on November 3-4 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, aimed at deepening trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two nations.

The Pakistani delegation, led by Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, will include representatives from over 30 businesses involved in a diverse range of sectors including food, textiles, pharmaceuticals, automotive, electronics, chemicals, transport, and logistics.

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, will co-chair the commission from the Uzbek side.

In addition to the main joint commission meetings, the delegation will attend a Business Forum and participate in a Government-to-Business (G2B) event, providing an opportunity for Pakistani businesses to explore partnerships and market expansion in Uzbekistan.

The forum will feature addresses from both co-chairs, highlighting key opportunities for collaboration and bilateral growth.

During the visit, the Pakistani Minister of Commerce is scheduled to meet with various Uzbek ministers and government officials to discuss sector-specific cooperation and strategic partnerships. The two-day event will conclude with the signing of several agreements aimed at enhancing economic ties, further strengthening the relationship between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
