MUNICH: Taylor Swift experienced a brief hiccup during her Eras Tour concert in Munich, when she misplayed a note on the piano during her performance at the Olympiastadion. The moment, while minor, added a touch of humour to her otherwise flawless show.

Swift, 34, was in the midst of her secret songs segment, where she had already delighted fans with acoustic renditions of “Fresh Out the Slammer” and “You Are in Love” on guitar. Transitioning to the piano for the next medley, she encountered a small mistake with the opening notes.

Addressing the audience with her characteristic charm, Swift quipped, “Sometimes you just don’t hit the right note, do you?” before seamlessly continuing with her performance, which included “Ivy” and “Call It What You Want.”

The piano glitch in Munich echoed a similar incident at her Milan show on July 14, where Swift had humorously blamed the malfunction on “breaking” the instrument. Despite these technical issues, her performances have continued to impress fans and critics alike.

In the lead-up to her Munich performance, Swift also shared personal insights on social media about her creative process for the Folklore album. Reflecting on the pandemic period, she said that she managed her own hair, makeup, and styling for the album’s shoot. Swift recounted the experience of working with collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, emphasizing the unique conditions under which the album was created.

The Hamburg show, which preceded Munich, saw Swift paying tribute to Flavor Flav, who attended the event. Additionally, she debuted “Run” from Red (Taylor’s Version), adding a fresh element to her setlist.

Swift recently announced her new role as godmother to Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s children. The announcement came alongside celebrations for Reynolds’ latest film, Deadpool & Wolverine.
