ISLAMABAD: Terrorists attacked Khyber Police Post but escaped without harming anyone there, an official of the Police Control Khyber told journalists on Sunday.
He said that the attackers escaped during the police counter-operation. He further said that the Police Force retaliated soon after the terrorists threw hand grenades at the Post and opened fire. The personnel on duty were fully alert and they quickly responded to the attack.

The IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa appreciated the bravery of the police. In a statement, he confirmed that the terrorists carried out the attack last night.
Adding details, he said that additional force joined the police team at the post and began a search operation in the area. No causality was reported; however, a police vehicle was damaged in the attack.
