Terrorist Involved in Census Team Attack Killed in Security Forces Operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: A terrorist involved in the attack on a police party employed on Census security duty in Tank district was killed during security forces operation Kulachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan on Monday, ISPR said in a press release.

According to ISPR, on Monday, terrorists opened fire on a police party employed on Census security duty in the general area of Raghzai, Tank District. One policeman, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat, ISPR said.

“On receipt of the information, security forces immediately cordoned the area, blocking all possible escape routes. Fleeing terrorists were intercepted in the general area of Gara Guldad, Tehsil Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan district. After an intense exchange of fire, terrorist commander Abdul Rasheed, alias Rasheedi, was killed,” ISPR said in its press release.

ISPR says the terrorist was wanted to police in terror activities

ISPR said that the killed terrorist was wanted to police for being involved in numerous terrorist activities against Security Forces and killing innocent civilians.

Ammunition and weapons were also recovered from the killed terrorist, ISPR said.

Locals of the area appreciated the operation and Security forces’ commitment to eliminating the menace of terrorism.
