QUETTA: The political leadership of Balochistan has strongly condemned the deadly terrorist attacks in the Duki area of the province, saying terrorists are killing their own people for the sake of foreign masters.

Governor Jaafar Khan Mandokhel, addressing a press conference alongside provincial ministers in Quetta, condemned the unfortunate incident and stated that innocent laborers were killed in Duki. He said that the murder of a laborer is akin to the murder of an entire family, highlighting the profound impact of such acts on communities.

Mandokhel said that he spoke with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, who is expected to visit Quetta in the next couple of days. He pointed out that terrorists are receiving funding from abroad, drawing a stark contrast between their rhetoric of freedom and their violent actions against innocent workers.

Mandokhel firmly stated that those involved in these terrorist activities do not represent the values of nationalism, and their true motives are increasingly clear.

Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal condemned the killings of laborers, labeling the incident as “highly condemnable.” Speaking to the media, he expressed grave concern over the bloodshed of innocent workers in the province.

Denouncing Inhumanity

Provincial Minister Zahoor Ahmed Buledi added that last night’s attack on a mine in Duki resulted in the martyrdom of 20 innocent individuals. He characterized the attackers as devoid of humanity, asserting that while they may appear human, their actions reveal their true, beastly nature.

Buledi also affirmed that such acts of terrorism, fueled by external funding, will not deter the resolve of the nation. He pledged that both the Balochistan government and the federal government of Pakistan will ensure that these terrorists are brought to justice, declaring that they are neither Baloch, Pashtun, nor Punjabi—merely terrorists.

Restoring Law and Order

In the press conference, Sadiq Imrani, a provincial minister and leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), said that the PPP has consistently been at the forefront of the battle against terrorism. He strongly condemned the attack in Duki and asserted that state resources will be utilized to restore law and order in the province.

The unified stance of Balochistan’s leadership reflects a collective determination to combat terrorism and uphold the rights and safety of its citizens.
