TEVTA Launches Technical Courses for Street Children Empowerment

PESHAWAR: The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has launched a transformative initiative by offering complimentary technical and vocational courses tailored for the development of street children.

The initiative, which began on Wednesday, aspires to empower these underprivileged youngsters with essential skills and knowledge.

During a visit to the Centre at University Town, Shah Fahad, the Deputy Commissioner, emphasized that the programme’s core objective is to educate street children and equip them with practical skills that can readily enhance their employment prospects or entrepreneurial ventures.

Courses’ duration

Spanning six months, this comprehensive initiative will cater to street children, both boys and girls aged between 11 and 15 years. They will receive training in various professional courses, complemented by a foundation of traditional education. The courses, designed to be immersive and impactful, will run for 3 to 5 hours daily, ensuring an intensive learning experience.

TEVTA has organized this event in collaboration with the district administration of Peshawar and the RAN’AA Child Welfare Foundation.”
