ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of Belgium will present three theatrical masterpieces staged by the Islamabad-based theatre group, “Theatre Wallay”, tomorrow (Friday) as part of the Belgian Week 2023 festivities in Pakistan.

The plays, originally penned by the acclaimed Belgian playwright Maurice Maeterlinck, a Nobel Prize laureate in Literature in 1911, have been skilfully translated into Urdu by the distinguished and award-winning translator Shaukat Niazi.

The performances will grace the stage at the prestigious Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), promising an enriching experience for the audience in Islamabad.

The Embassy of Belgium extends a warm invitation to theatre enthusiasts, Belgians in Pakistan, and Pakistani friends of Belgium to join hands with its collaborator, the PNCA, in celebrating this exceptional and pioneering cultural exchange.

The event will start at 6.30 pm at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) here. It’s free and open to the public, according to the embassy.
