Thousands Of Children Rally in Islamabad to Express Solidarity with Palestine

ISLAMABAD: Thousands of children took on the streets of Pakistan’s Islamabad on Thursday against Israel’s relentless bombing of Gaza, assuring their moral support to the innocent people.

The rally, which started from Centaurs Chowk and culminated near Faisal Mosque was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).

The participants of the rally were carrying banners and placards, inscribed with slogans such as “Free Palestine”, “Down with Israel,” and “Stop genocide in Palestine”.

Addressing the protestors Ameer JI, Siraj-ul-Haq demanded an immediate end to Israeli bombing in Gaza Strip.

He said Gaza has become a graveyard adding that the gathering is a message for the oppressors that they must stop genocide.

He went on to say that Israel is targeting civilians and infrastructure in densely populated civilian areas, which constituted war crimes.

No respite for the people of Palestine

The religious leader said there is no respite for the people of Palestine, who have been subject to worst violence of modern age for the past several days.

He demanded that murderers and oppressors should be held accountable for their crimes against humanity.  He asked people to boycott all products of Israel.

Siraj-ul-Haq also called upon the international community to play its role for stopping bombing on the innocent people of Palestine.

He added that so far the world has failed to protect Gaza’s hapless citizens from Israel’s attacks.

The Palestinian death toll from relentless Israeli bombardment on the Gaza Strip has climbed to 14,532, said the Gaza media office on Wednesday.

The office in the statement said ​​​​​​the victims include over 6,000 children and 4,000 women.
