WASHINGTON: Local officials said that an armed man driven by racial hate killed three Black people in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday.

The attack, a white man in his early 20s, was outfitted with a planned vest and armed with a rifle and a handgun when he opened fire inside a store, local officials said. “The gunman targeted a certain group of Black people,” the officials said. According to the authorities, there were two male and one female victims.
Manifestos had discovered by the family of the gunman shortly before the assault “detail the attacker’s disgusting ideology of hate,” Waters told the media. The FBI would probe the shooting as a hate crime, said an official.
The incident was the latest in a spate of gun violence in the current weekend in the U, following deadly surges in Chicago, Oklahoma, and Boston.
