Three Killed, 16 Injured in Russian Strikes on Kharkiv

KYIV: Russian strikes on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv killed three people and injured 16 others, regional Governor Oleg Synegubov said on Friday.

In a post on Telegram he said as of now, about three people are dead and 16 are injured. He added that an emergency medic was among the injured and an ambulance was damaged.

He said the enemy again used a double-strike strategy, while rescuers, medics, and law enforcement officers were already working on the spot targeted.

“All strikes are exclusively at civilian infrastructure,” he added.

Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv, is situated just across the border from Russia’s Belgorod and regularly comes under Russian missile attacks.

Last week Russian strikes that targeted a hardware superstore in Kharkiv l killed 16 people.

US officials on Thursday announced that President Joe Biden had lifted restrictions on Ukraine using weapons supplied by the United States against targets on Russian territory, but only to defend the Kharkiv region.
