RAWALPINDI: Three policemen embraced martyrdom, and five terrorists, including a suicide bomber, were killed as Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies (LEAs) successfully foiled a terrorist attack on the Police Lines in Tank city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to ISPR, on 15 December 2023, five terrorists, including a suicide bomber, attempted to attack the Police Lines in Tank city; however, brave policemen offered stiff resistance. Security forces in the vicinity were immediately mobilized to support the Police force, and in the ensuing operation, all five terrorists were killed during the operation, ISPR said.
However, during intense fire exchange with the terrorists, three brave Policemen, having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom, ISPR added.
The effective response of the Policemen is a testament to their unrelenting resolve in the fight against terrorism, ISPR stated.
Pakistan’s security forces stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to ensure peace and stability in the country.
