PESHAWAR: Tragedy struck in the North Waziristan district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday, as a vehicle-borne suicide bomber detonated himself in the Miran Shah area, killing three security personnel and critically injuring three civilians, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The suicide bomber intended to target a security forces’ post, but the vigilant on-duty soldiers intercepted the attacker on suspicion, preventing a major catastrophe, ISPR added.
Brave Soldiers Who Embrace Martyrdom in North Waziristan
The martyred soldiers were identified as Naib Subedar Sahib Khan from Mianwali, Naik Muhammad Ibrahim from Dera Ismail Khan, and Sepoy Jehangir Khan from Mardan. Their sacrifice in the line of duty was a solemn reminder of the determination of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate the menace of terrorism, as emphasized by the military’s media wing.
ISPR emphasized that the security forces of Pakistan remain committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism, and the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers only strengthen their determination.
