Three Terrorists Killed in Northwest Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Three terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, the Pakistani military said on Friday.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)—the media wing of the Pakistan Army—said in a statement that during the conduct of operation in Datta Khel, North Waziristan tribal district, “troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location.” As a result, three of them, who were trying to escape wearing women attire (burqa), were killed.”

It said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from them, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

“Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the statement concluded.
