LOS ANGELES: Speculation about a possible romance between Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas has intensified following their recent public appearances together. However, sources close to the actors maintain that their relationship is purely professional.
Cruise, 62, and de Armas, 36, have been spotted together multiple times in London over the past two months, with their latest sighting occurring on 14 March at the London Heliport.
The pair arrived via helicopter and were seen chatting and laughing with staff, according to Newsweek, as cited by News.Az. They had reportedly been at the heliport the previous day as well.
Their repeated meetings have fuelled speculation about a possible romance, particularly after they were seen dining together in London’s Soho neighbourhood just before Valentine’s Day.
At the time, People reported that the Mission: Impossible star and the Ghosted actress were discussing “potential collaborations down the line” and that there was “no romantic connection.”
A source reiterated this stance to People following their most recent outing, stating that Cruise and de Armas are working on an upcoming project.
The insider further disclosed that director Doug Liman was also present during their heliport visit but did not provide details about the nature of their collaboration.
Despite these denials, some industry experts believe there could be more to the relationship. Beverly Hills-based celebrity matchmaker Alessandra Conti suggested that Cruise’s public appearances with de Armas may indicate something significant.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Conti remarked, “Since his devastating and public split with Katie [Holmes], he has kept a low profile when it comes to his personal life. However, his new relationship with Ana de Armas could be his big comeback into being in a celebrity power couple.”
Conti added that Cruise has been notably private about his romantic life since his 2012 divorce from Holmes, making his recent outings with de Armas particularly intriguing.
“My celebrity clients know exactly how to keep their love lives under wraps if that is their desire,” Conti said.
“So, this is a clear indicator that he is feeling secure about the potential of this romance, though sources are saying that it is merely because they are in a film together.”
While romance rumours continue to swirl, Cruise’s relationship history remains a topic of public fascination.
The Top Gun star was previously married to Nicole Kidman from 1990 to 2001 and later to Holmes from 2006 until their high-profile divorce in 2012.
More recently, he was linked to model Elsina Khayrova in 2024.
De Armas, on the other hand, dated actor Ben Affleck in 2020 and was last romantically associated with Manuel Anido in 2024.
