ISLAMABAD: Tom Latham will lead New Zealand ODI Squad in Pakistan later this month, featuring two potential debutants, Cole McConchie, and Ben Lister.

The regular Canterbury captain is also part of the T20 Squad to tour Pakistan, and he has won selection after a strong season in all formats in domestic cricket.

McConchie’s 1140 runs in all formats are the second-most total of any player this season, while he’s also picked up eight wickets.

Lister was included in the ODI Squad facing Sri Lanka in the recently completed ODI Series but didn’t take the field. Now, he can make his international T20 debut against India this year.

The 15-men squad also features more opportunities for recent ODI debutants Rachin Ravindra, Chad Bowes, and Henry Shipley.

Those fresh faces are balanced by experienced players, including six squad members that reached the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 final.

Nine players also have recent experience in Pakistan, featuring in either the ODI or Test squads that played in Karachi earlier this year.

The visiting squad will also benefit from extra experience in Pakistani conditions as Saqlain Mushtaq joins as an assistant coach.

The first of the five-match T20I series will be played in Lahore on Friday, 14 April, while the first of five ODIs begins on Wednesday, 26 April, in Rawalpindi.
