ISLAMABAD: Rain delayed the toss for the third T20I between Pakistan and England at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. Continuous rainfall since morning in Cardiff has disrupted proceedings, with expectations of further showers during match timings and into the night.

England maintains a 1-0 series lead following their victory in the second T20I on Saturday, securing a 23-run win.

England’s skipper Jos Buttler is absent from today’s game in Cardiff, Pakistan’s pace bowler Haris Rauf has made a comeback from an injury sustained during the first T20I in Birmingham last Saturday.

Earlier last Wednesday, the first match of the series was washed out by rain and bad weather at Headingley while England had won he the 2nd T20 with 23 runs.

England Provides Additional Security to Pakistan Team

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier today, Pakistani local media reported that the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has provided two additional security officers to the Pakistan cricket team following a series of unsettling incidents with players in green shirts.

Reports from local media indicate that these officers will closely monitor the movements of national players, particularly amidst instances where fans have surrounded players, including captain Babar Azam, outside their hotel. These measures were prompted by concerns raised by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
