ISLAMABAD: Following heavy snowfall, tourist access has been restricted from beyond Battakundi as Kaghan, Naran, and Babusar Top receive snowfall where roads are blanketed with snow, Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) Spokesperson Maazim Ali said on Monday.
He said that there was sustained snowfall in different popular tourist locations in Mansehra district, including Lake Saif ul Malook, Babusar Top, Naran, Upper Kaghan Valley, Lulusar Lake, Jalkhad, and Siri Paye.
Babusar Top received up to 1 foot of snow. Due to light snowfall on the roads, entry for tourists has been restricted beyond Battakundi.
Moreover, the spokesperson said that Kaghan and Naran had also been experiencing rain.
No Rescue Operation in Snow-hit Areas
He also clarified that the authority had not initiated any rescue or clearance operations in the snow-hit regions.
