LONDON: NFL star Travis Kelce has shared his memorable encounter with Prince William and his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, during Taylor Swift’s London Eras Tour show.

Kelce, known for his prowess on the football field, discussed the experience on his podcast “New Heights” alongside his brother Jason Kelce.

Describing Prince William as the “coolest person,” Kelce recounted the moment he met the royal family members in attendance at the concert.

“He was there with little George and Charlotte,” Kelce shared, referring to William and Kate’s eldest children. “They were absolutely a delight to meet. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hands, like, ‘Sup, dude.’ We wanted to be polite.”

Jason Kelce chimed in, clarifying that since the royals were attending a casual event and not an official royal engagement, there was no requirement for traditional formalities like curtsying.

Reflecting on the encounter, Travis Kelce humorously mentioned feeling a bit out of place and even moved his beer away to maintain a respectful demeanor.

“I’ve never seen you give someone that much respect,” Travis joked, referring to his brother’s reaction.

The Kelce brothers praised Prince William for his relaxed parenting style, noting how he allowed his children to express themselves freely.

“Prince William was fantastic, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte,” Jason remarked enthusiastically. “She was so adorable. Maybe because I have three girls now, [but] she had a fire to her. She was asking questions.”

The conversation on the podcast highlighted the charm and approachability of the British royal family, particularly in informal settings where they engage with the public outside of their official duties.

Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, is known for his athletic achievements as well as his outgoing personality, making the encounter with the royals a noteworthy and entertaining moment for him and his podcast audience.
