ISLAMABAD: Treat your tastebuds with Thai Mango Sticky Rice that usually combines sweet mango with coconut milk-infused rice, creating a sweet balance of flavours.

Ingredients:

1 cup rice

1 cup canned unsweetened coconut milk

3 tablespoons sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

1 mango, peeled and thinly sliced

Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a pot over medium heat, stirring until the mixture simmers.
  2. Remove the sauce from heat, ensuring it remains warm.
  3. Mix half of the sauce with the cooked rice and let it sit for fifteen minutes.
  4. Scoop out ¼ of the rice using a cup or mold to form a round, slightly domed mound.
  5. Place each mound of rice on a plate and top with ¼ of the mango slices.
  6. Drizzle the remaining sauce over each plate as required.
  7. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve.
