WASHINGTON, USA: Before the election on November 5, Republican contender Donald Trump declared on Thursday that he would not participate in a second presidential debate against Democratic opponent Kamala Harris.

His choice was made after many polls showed Harris winning their most recent discussion. On Truth Social, Trump declared, “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” This decision came after Trump debated President Joe Biden in June and Harris earlier this week.

Although Trump claimed victory in his debate against Harris, many Republican donors and advisers believed Harris performed better, citing Trump’s inability to stay on message. The debate, watched by 67.1 million viewers, had mixed reactions.

While Trump argued polls favored him, surveys indicated otherwise. A Reuters/Ipsos poll showed 53% believed Harris won, compared to 24% for Trump. Additionally, 54% of registered voters felt one debate was sufficient. Harris, at a rally, expressed that voters deserved another debate, highlighting the split opinions on whether a third debate is necessary.
