WASHINGTON, USA: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has indicated that he will “probably” meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy during his upcoming visit to the U.S. for a United Nations Security Council meeting on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Trump did not provide further details about the potential meeting.

This comes after several world leaders have met with Trump during their U.S. visits, despite his criticism of U.S. aid to Ukraine, which he has labeled a “waste of money.” Zelenskiy, who previously spoke with Trump in July, has expressed his intention to present a peace plan to both Biden and Trump.

Trump is also scheduled to attend an event alongside Polish President Andrzej Duda in Pennsylvania. The upcoming Nov. 5 U.S. election will see Trump facing off against Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris.
