Ankara, Turkey: Turkey is set to evacuate approximately 2,000 of its citizens from Lebanon due to escalating security concerns. The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced that two navy ships would depart from Mersin for Beirut on Tuesday to facilitate the evacuation. Turkey has about 14,000 citizens registered with its consulate in Lebanon, and contingency plans have been in place to ensure their safety. Additionally, Turkey is coordinating with nearly 20 other countries to assist in evacuating third-country nationals, emphasizing its role in regional crisis management. This comes amid growing instability in Lebanon.
