ISTANBUL: The continued US airstrikes on militants in Syria and Iraq, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has issued a warning about possible regional escalation, according to Azernews, which cites TRT.

“When you play with fire, it might ignite at any time and become uncontrollable. In an interview with a major television channel on Sunday, Fidan stated, “We are facing a risk here, and the problem of uncontrollability stands before us as a threat.”

Stating that Turkey maintains ongoing dialogues with the US and regional partners, Fidan emphasized the need to prevent the escalation of tensions in the region. He expressed concerns about the current situation, warning of the potential for a larger conflict.

Fidan emphasized that Israel prioritizes territorial expansion over security, highlighting the fact that the topic of Israel’s security is frequently raised in public opinion around the globe.

He emphasized that Israel would only achieve security by stopping to “tell lies” to the international community and granting Palestinians their own state.

Fidan emphasized: “When we brought up the two-state solution this time, the underlying factor was our proposal for a guarantor mechanism, making it distinct methodologically.” Fidan noted that regional nations have frequently declared that they are prepared to assume responsibility.
