RAWALPINDI: A Turkish Navy delegation, led by Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Ibrahim Ozdem Kocer has visited Karachi and met with Pakistan Navy field commanders and officials to discuss matters of mutual interest and explore further avenues for collaboration, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Turkish delegation also visited the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the founder of Pakistan.
At the conclusion of the visit the two navies held a coordinated patrols and naval exercises. The ISPR said the exercise will promote cooperation in joint operations between the navies of the two countries.
It said the visit of the Turkish Navy ship will strengthen the long-standing relations between the people of the two brotherly countries, especially the navies.
