Turkish President Erdogan Arrives in Uzbekistan for ECO Summit

ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Tashkent on a visit to Uzbekistan to participate in the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit, the Communications Directorate said.

The summit, scheduled for November 9, will bring together leaders from ECO member countries to address vital issues related to trade, transportation networks, and the enhancement of connectivity in the region.

During his visit, President Erdogan is will address the summit session and engage in bilateral meetings with other leaders attending the event. The discussions at the summit aim to bolster the effectiveness of the ECO, an organization of which Turkey is a founding member.

ECO Member States

The deliberations will focus on promoting collaboration and understanding among member countries, fostering economic growth, and ensuring regional stability.

The Economic Cooperation Organization, established in 1985 by Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan, has expanded over the years to include Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
