Türkiye’s Togg to Produce 28,000 Units of Electric Vehicles by The End Of 2023

ANKARA: Turkish Industry and technology minister has revealed that Togg, a domestic electric vehicle manufacturer, would produce 28,000 units of its SUV model T10X by the end of 2023.

Fatih Kacir stated that there are now more than 2,000 Togg vehicles on the road while visiting the company’s factory in the Bursa, the industrial province of the country. By the end of the next year, he claimed, the production capacity would have multiplied by 2.5.

Turkey’s treasury and finance minister, Mehmet Simsek, also visited the facility and said: “Manufacturing with 90% automation is definitely a tremendous success. It has a vast technical foundation that uses modern technology that is highly effective and productive.

In December 2019, Togg, founded in 2018, introduced Turkey’s first electric vehicle prototype. The company initiated mass production in October last year. —AA/APP
