ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced significant personnel changes in the Cabinet of Ministers during an extended government meeting on February 9, focusing on yearly results and plans for 2024.
The reshuffle involved the heads of four ministries, with Guvanch Orunov relieved of his post as Minister of Construction and Architecture, replaced by Deputy Minister Abdulla Geldiev. Similarly, Gurbangul Atayeva was replaced by Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva, the Rector of Turkmen State University, as the new Minister of Education.
Atageldi Germanov, the former Minister of Health and Medical Industry, was succeeded by his deputy Myrat Mammedov, while Nazarmyrat Nazarmyradov, the former Minister of Agriculture, was replaced by Charyyar Chetiev, his deputy.
The dismissals were attributed to the transition to new positions. Additionally, heads of several districts across Turkmenistan were relieved of their duties.
Further changes included the retirement of Chairman of the Turkmen State Publishing Service Akmyrat Khudaiberdiev, with Mahmut Charyev appointed as his successor. Mulkaman Ovezliev, the former Deputy Minister of Agriculture, assumed the role of Chairman of “Türkmengallaönümleri”.
Begmyrat Ataev, previously Deputy Minister of Agriculture, was appointed Chairman of the State Association of Food Industry, while Gochmyrat Ataev, also a former Deputy Minister of Agriculture, became Chairman of the State Association of Livestock and Poultry Industry.
Moreover, Dortguly Suleymanov was appointed Chairman of the State Concern “Türkmenpagta”, and Nurmuhammet Berdiniyazov assumed the position of Chairman of the State Association “Türkmenobahyzmat”.
