Two Kashmiris Arrested in Occupied Kashmir for Remarks over Babri Masjid Demolition

ISLAMABAD: Indian police have arrested two persons in Indian illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) for allegedly making remarks about the demolition of Babri Masjid and the subsequent construction of the Ram temple on its site.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the cases were registered in the Ramban, Reasi, Rajouri, and Kathua district of Jammu region, leading to the booking of six individuals.

According to The Telegraph, among those arrested is Zaffar Hussain, a resident of Khanna Chargal area in Jammu district. The report said that a female college student was also involved in the fake case.

“She was booked but not arrested yet. Several other youths were brought in for questioning. We have applied for their bail in court,” a relative of the girl told The Telegraph.

The relative said she was Zaffar’s cousin, and the two had posted comments expressing their displeasure with the demolition of the Babri Masjid and the subsequent construction of a temple on the site.

“They were upset over the demolition of the Babri Masjid and the construction of a temple in its place,” the relative added. —APP
