RAWALPINDI: Two soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while one terrorist was killed during an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Monday.

According to ISPR, on the night of 12/13 November, a fire exchange took place between Pakistan’s security forces and terrorists in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district.

The security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location; resultantly, one terrorist was killed, ISPR said. However, during intense fire exchange, two soldiers, Sepoy Abdullah (age 25 years, resident of Mardan district) and Sepoy Muhammad Sohail (age 19 years, resident of Tharparkar district), having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom, ISPR stated.

According to ISPR, sanitization of the surrounding areas is being carried out to neutralize any terrorists found in the area.

Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism, and such sacrifices of the country’s brave soldiers further strengthen the armed forces’ resolve, ISPR concluded.
