RAWALPINDI: Two brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom, and two terrorists were killed during a fire exchange between security forces and terrorists on Wednesday in the Lakki Marwat district of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists in Lakki Marwat district on Wednesday, January 10. “Own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, as a result of which two terrorists, identified as Aftab alias Malang and Masood Shah, were sent to hell.

These terrorists remained actively involved in various terrorist activities against the security forces as well as target killings of innocent civilians, ISPR said. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, two brave soldiers; Sepoy Muhammad Afzal (age 29 years; resident of Bhimber district of Azad Kashmir) and Sepoy Ibrar Hussain (age 27 years; resident of Mansehra district), having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom, ISPR reported.

Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area. Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, and such sacrifices of brave soldiers further strengthen the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces, ISPR resolved.
