Two Terrorists Killed, One Apprehended During Military Operation in Balochistan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Two terrorists were killed while another was apprehended during security forces intelligence-based operation in the general area of Mach, west of Sibi in Balochistan, ISPR said in a press release here on Sunday.

According to ISPR, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Mach, west of Sibi in Balochistan, to intercept a group of terrorists responsible for targeting civilians and harassing coal mine owners to extort money. The operation began on April 7 and has resulted in multiple ambushes being laid along different routes frequented by the terrorists, ISPR said.

ISPR said that based on credible information, a party of three terrorists was intercepted while moving towards their hideout.

“The terrorists opened fire on security forces upon being blocked, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Two terrorists were killed while the third was apprehended. Additionally, a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered,” ISPR said in its press release. The clearance operation is ongoing to apprehend the remaining accomplices of the terrorists.

The Pakistan Army, in line with the nation’s determination to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability, and progress in Balochistan, remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of civilians and businesses in the region.
