UAE Ambassador, AIR Chief Discuss Mutual Interest, Regional Development

ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hamad Obaid Al-Zaabi, called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force in his office on Thursday. Both the dignitaries shared views over in different areas including regional development and mutual interest.

Meanwhile, Air Chief Zaheer Baber shared his vision and commitment to modernizing PAF encompassing smart acquisitions from friendly countries, upgradation of infrastructure, and revitalization of operational & training domains.

He highlighted the longstanding cultural, religious, and historical bond between UAE and Pakistan which is exemplified by the robust bilateral ties. He also reiterated his steady commitment to boost the existing relations in military-to-military cooperation, training domain and strategic alliance.

Pak, UAE Strong Bonds of Brotherhood, Friendship

The Air Chief stated that both Pakistan and UAE have been knitted into a strong bond of brotherhood and friendship, particularly in the context of the strong economic, diplomatic and defense relationship between the two sides which is based on convergence on all important issues relating to regional peace, stability and security.

The Ambassador of UAE appreciated the exceptional progress made by Pakistan Air Force, particularly through indigenization and expressed his admiration for the professionalism of PAF personnel. He also pledged to play his role in further improving the existing bilateral military relations at all levels and expressed his desire to consolidate cooperation in various fields including training, emerging technologies and cooperation in the aviation industry.
