UAE Ambassador Meets Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Discuss Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salim Alzaabi met with Federal Finance & Revenue Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and discussed the matters of enhancing bilateral relations and economic cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.

The meeting was held at the Finance Division on Wednesday.

The UAE Ambassador Alzaabi congratulated Muhammad Aurangzeb on his new role as Minister for Finance and Revenue, expressing optimism about strengthening economic ties between the two nations.

Minister Aurangzeb reciprocated by expressing gratitude for the enduring brotherly relations rooted in shared history, culture, and faith, emphasizing their significance.

During the meeting, Minister Aurangzeb highlighted initiatives such as the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to attract investments from friendly countries across sectors.

He also discussed progress in the government’s privatization efforts, including the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

The UAE Ambassador commended the government’s economic reform efforts and both sides reiterated their commitment to fortify bilateral relations and boost economic cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.
