UAE President Cancels Islamabad Visit For Bad Weather

ISLAMABAD: President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has had to cancel his visit to Islamabad on Monday due to bad weather conditions, as per the government officials.

The dignitary was due to arrive Islamabad on a day-long visit on Monday. He was to be escorted by JF-17 aircraft to the Pakistan Air Force Nur Khan Air Base. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and important members of the federal cabinet continued waiting for the guest until noon before the government announcing that the visit has been postponed due to bad weather.

UAE President was expected to hold meeting with PM

The UAE president was expected to hold a one-on-one meeting with the prime minister. Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan had arrived in Punjab’s Rahim Yar Khan on a private visit a week ago. PM Shehbaz had welcomed him at the Rahim Yar Khan Airport before holding a meeting with the dignitary. During the meeting, the two leaders reiterated their resolve to further enhance bilateral relations.

According to the official sources, a new date for the visit of UAE president will be announced soon.
