DUBAI: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan held a meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who is currently on a Gulf tour, as part of their diplomatic engagements on Thursday.
According to the state news agency WAM, the two officials discussed bilateral relations and explored avenues to strengthen cooperation.
They also exchanged views on various regional and international matters, emphasizing the importance of leveraging positive developments for the betterment of the region’s people and to foster stability and prosperity.
Sheikh Mohamed conveyed his greetings and well wishes to his Iranian counterpart and the people of Iran. Abdollahian’s tour included previous visits to Qatar and Oman, with Kuwaiti leaders scheduled for a meeting after his stay in the UAE.
Earlier, Abdollahian engaged in talks with Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Numani, Oman’s Minister of the Royal Office, to discuss bilateral relations and areas of collaboration.
Additionally, he had follow-up discussions with his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, regarding Sultan Haitham bin Tariq’s recent visit to Iran.End-
