ISLAMABAD: The UAE soccer team clinched victory against Gerry with a resounding 2-0 win in an electrifying match during the 12th UAE Ambassador Cup 2024 trophy tournament.
Held at the UAE embassy grounds in Islamabad on Wednesday, the match witnessed thrilling gameplay and remarkable performances.
The highlight of the game was the exceptional goalkeeping skills displayed by Malik from the UAE team, who received the prestigious man of the match award. UAE Ambassador His Excellency Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem AlZaabi, along with Ambassador of Morocco H.E Mr. Mohamed Karmoune, presented the award to Malik in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the team’s success.
Contributing to the UAE’s victory, players Ozil and Saleem showcased their prowess by scoring one goal each, securing the team’s triumph over Gerry. Ambassador AlZaabi enthusiastically celebrated the UAE team’s achievement, joining them in their moment of glory at the embassy grounds.
In another match of the tournament, Iran demonstrated dominance on the field by defeating Indonesia with an impressive scoreline of 9 goals to 1, showcasing the intense competition and talent displayed throughout the tournament.
The 12th UAE Ambassador Cup 2024 tournament not only provided an exhilarating platform for soccer enthusiasts but also fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among participating nations.
