Uber’s fleet partners to buy EVs from Tata Motors
Uber’s fleet partners would buy the EVs from Tata Motors, India’s biggest electric carmaker, Prabhjeet Singh, president of Uber India and South Asia, told Reuters.
Prabhjeet said, “We are going to be a big catalyst in accelerating the (EV) ecosystem,”.
India’s federal and state governments were pushing for greater electrification of shared taxis, the place currently dominated by Uber’s local rival BluSmart, an electric mobility start-up.
