ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Afzal Khan, a UK member of parliament urged the international community on Saturday to speak out about the Kashmir conflict and come forward to stop the atrocities committed by India against the vulnerable residents of Indian-occupied Kashmir (IOK).

In an interview with Radio Pakistan’s current Affairs programme, he stated, “The international community’s attitude towards the Kashmir issue is very disappointing.”

He claimed that while every Western country is vocal about their concern for the Russia-Ukraine crisis, they are oblivious to the horrors committed by the Indian government in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

He emphasized that to secure the effective execution of the UN resolutions on the Kashmir dispute, the permanent members of the UNSC and the civilized world must play a part. He claimed that the UN’s credibility is in doubt due to the failure to implement decisions. —APP
