LONDON: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke on the telephone, Arab News reported.
During the call, the Saudi Crown Prince congratulated him on his election victory.
Starmer thanked the Crown Prince for his congratulations on his election victory as the Labour Party leader and reported on his first days in office, a statement from Downing Street said.
During their conversation about the Middle East, the Prime Minister commended the Crown Prince for his leadership in fostering regional stability and reaffirmed the UK’s steadfast commitment to peace and security in the region.
Moreover, the Prime Minister and Crown Prince reflected on the robust relationship between the UK and Saudi Arabia, including through the Strategic Partnership Council.
They look forward to an in-person meeting soon to enhance collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, and defense cooperation, the statement from 10 Downing Street added.
