LONDON: The UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and EU leader Ursula von der Leyen will hold face-to-face talks to resolve a post-Brexit trade issue on Monday. The UK PM and Ursula von der Leyen confirmed that they will hold a meeting in the UK on Monday to hold discussion over the “challenges” of the Northern Ireland Protocol.

Ursula von der Leyen said that she and PM Rishi Sunak agreed to continue work in order to address “challenges” of the Northern Ireland Protocol. In a statement through twitter, the EU leader said that she will hold a meeting with the UK’s Prime Minister on Monday.
Prime Minister @RishiSunak and I agreed to continue working in person towards shared, practical solutions under the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland.
I will therefore meet with the Prime Minister tomorrow in the UK.

London wants to bring changes in the agreement, which sees some goods inspected when entering from the rest of the United Kingdom.

PM Rishi Sunak and the EU leader said that they made agreement to continue their work towards practical and shared solutions for the range of complex challenges about the Protocol Northern Ireland.
According to BBC, an agreement has been expected for days, with current meeting focusing on its delivery and presentation.
