MOSCOW: Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu on Tuesday said that the resources of Ukraine’s armed forces were almost exhausted, reported Western media.

Sergei Shoigu expressing his views at a security conference in Moscow said that Ukrainian armed forces have failed to achieve results despite support from Western states.

He claimed that Ukraine’s military resources are almost exhausted.

He added that Western weapons could not help Ukraine in the war against Russia, adding that these weapons are not unique.

Ukraine launched its counter-offensive in June but accepted its struggles to achieve results against Russian positions.

Amid mounting tensions, Russia has led multiple waves of strikes on Ukraine while Ukrainian forces hit bridges within their occupied territories in response.
