(Excerpt from the recent statement of famous religious scholar Mufti Abdul Rahim)
The four major collapses of Islamic history include:
- The fall of Baghdad.
- The fall of Andalusia.
- The fall of the Mughal Empire.
- The fall of the Ottoman Caliphate.
History tells us that three things have been attacked where major collapses took place, and nothing has happened where three things have been stable. These three things include political stability, economic stability, and defense stability. A government and a state stand on these three pillars.
The nations where these three things are weak suffer from decline. Nowadays, there are challenging situations, and in these difficult situations, the last line of the Muslim Ummah is Pakistan. The army of Pakistan is the army of the Muslim Ummah, and I state this with utmost confidence, and I will be accountable for it on the Day of Judgment that our army is the army of Islam.
In the current situation, political instability is rising; economic instability is in front of everyone. In the end, only one front remains, and that pillar is the Pakistan Army. After meeting many army officers and visiting many military institutions, I have seen a lot of piety among these people. If this army becomes weak, God willing, our lives, honour, and reputation will be at stake.

You will not find such an army in a thousand years. Had this type of army been in Baghdad, it would never have fallen. In how many countries of the world no country has been left, how much there has been in Pakistan, but due to the organization of our army, Pakistan has survived.
Allah has given us such great strength; there are only Muslims and Pakistanis in the army, and there is no distinction between Deobandi and Barelvi.
A person who divides the army and its people is the biggest enemy of Islam and Pakistan, even if he is a religious scholar.
May Allah protect our army, Aameen.
