KHAN YOUNIS: The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees has said it will soon end relief operations in besieged Gaza strip as its fuel storage facility in Gaza is empty, Western media reported on Tuesday.
Israel has banned fuel imports since the start of the war with Hamas.
The UN agency is striving hard to provide basic services to over 600,000 people taking shelter in schools and other facilities in the south of Gaza.
Palestinian authorities on Tuesday stressed for a ceasefire to evacuate 36 newborn babies and other patients trapped inside Gaza’s largest hospital.
For days, the Israeli army has surrounded Shifa Hospital saying Hamas hides in it, however, hospital staff and Hamas completely reject the claim.

Palestinian Health Ministry has said in Ramallah more than 11,320 people, two-thirds of them women and minors, have been killed in Gaza.
According to reports almost the whole population of Gaza has squeezed into the southern part of the territory, where conditions have been worsening due to Israeli relentless bombing.
About 1.5 million people in Gaza have fled their homes and the UN shelters in the south are heavily overcrowded.
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees, which is striving hard to provide basic services to over 600,000 people taking shelter in schools and other facilities in the south, said it may run out of fuel by Wednesday.
It said that after running out of fuel it would be forced to shut down most of its relief operations and bringing limited supplies of food and medicine from Egypt.
