NEW YORK: Francesca Albanese, UN special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, has asked the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) chief prosecutor Karim Khan to visit survivors and relatives of all victims of war in Gaza, including the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Francesca Albanese expressed these remarks in a statement via social media. The statement comes as ICC’s chief prosecutor Karim Khan arrived in Israel. The UN representative notes in her statement that Israel counts about 1,200 victims of the October 7 surprise attack, while more than 20,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip, and over 220 Palestinian people have been killed in the occupied West Bank during the same period.

Meanwhile, more 30 Palestinians were released overnight Thursday, from Israeli jails in seventh exchange of Gaza ceasefire. The Palestinians detainees including 7 women and 23 minors were freed hours following eight Israeli captives were released by Hamas.
According to Arab media, bus carrying released Palestinians arrived in Ramallah. Locals were waving flags and also taking images as they warmly welcomed the Palestinians women and children home.

Earlier, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirmed that it facilitated the handover of more eight captives held in Gaza from Hamas to Israel. In a statement via social media, the Red Cross Confirmed that 8 More Captives have been handed over to Israel.
