UNITED NATIONS: UNICEF has strongly condemned Israel’s intensified attacks in Gaza, highlighting the severe toll on children and civilians. Over 50 children were reported killed in strikes on the Jabalia area in northern Gaza within the past two days, signaling the worsening humanitarian crisis.

According to Arab media, Israeli forces reportedly dropped a stun grenade on a polio vaccination center in Gaza City, injuring at least four children, despite prior agreements to pause attacks for a vaccination campaign, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

Since the beginning of the conflict on October 7, 2023, Palestinian authorities report more than 43,000 Palestinian casualties and 102,000 injuries.

In addition, Lebanon’s health ministry has reported nearly 3,000 Lebanese deaths and over 13,000 injuries due to Israeli actions along its border.

The situation escalated further after Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati called for an investigation into the recent capture of a Lebanese citizen by Israeli forces, reportedly a Hezbollah leader.

UNICEF and other international organizations continue to urge an immediate cessation of hostilities to address the mounting humanitarian crisis and safeguard civilian lives across affected areas.
