UNICEF, KSrelief, Ink Deals to Provide Aid, Water to Syria Quake-hit Victims

RIYADH: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has inked two deals with the UN Children’s Fund to provide hygiene services, water, and food help to citizens in Syria.

The deals, inked in Riyadh, will see aid worth $3,498,553 distributed to kids affected by the quake in Syria that occurred in February and citizens at risk in Syria.

The first deal aims to provide life-saving emergency water, hygiene services and sanitation to quake-affected children and citizens at risk in Syria via access to water supplies and repairing quake-damaged water networks.

15,000 people will be supported with a complete water and sanitation package that will also include water trucking, solid waste management, and the cleaning of toilets. More than 100,000 people will also be given with clean drinking water. The 2nd deal aims to give vulnerable Syrian kids and people affected by the quake with access to nutrition services.
