SARGODHA: Speakers said on Tuesday that there is a need to work together to promote peace and harmony in society.
They were addressing a seminar on ‘Promoting Peace through Interfaith Harmony and Cultural Diversity’, which was organized by the University of Sargodha.
The aim of the event was to encourage understanding and dialogue between different cultures and faith in order to promote mutual respect and acceptance in society.
The speakers termed diversity as a strength and said that it was only through embracing differences in order to build a more harmonious and peaceful world.
Cultural Diversity
Speaking at the seminar, Prof. Dr. Gulam Abbas Gondal said: “In a world where intolerance often dominates the headlines, initiatives such as this event are a much-needed reminder that promoting harmony and peace is possible.
He was of the view that they could develop a peaceful and harmonious society for all by accepting differences and working together.
The keynote speakers at the event lauded the organizers of the University for providing a valuable forum for talks and collaboration and hoped that such types of seminars would be held in the future as well.
Many speakers emphasized the significance of promoting cultural diversity and harmony in today’s increasingly diverse world.
Participants from all sections of society and various religious and cultural backgrounds attended the seminar.
