ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with the US Ambassador Donald Bloom at her residence in Murree on Sunday.
The meeting focused on the importance of the historical and long-standing bilateral ties between the two nations.
Both emphasized the significance of promoting mutual cooperation in sectors such as economy, trade, peace, security, and regional stability.
She expressed her gratitude towards the envoy for the government’s efforts during the challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic and the devastating floods last year.
UK High Commissioner Meets Maryam Nawaz
Earlier on Friday, British High Commissioner in Pakistan Jane Marriott also held a meeting with Maryam Nawaz in Raiwind.
Maryam congratulated Jean Marriott on assuming her diplomatic responsibilities in Pakistan and discussed issues of mutual interest.
On the occasion, Maryam said Marriott’s appointment would strengthen the ties between both nations.
The PML-N leader lauded and thanked for the much-required assistance by the UK government in educating the flood-affected girls in Pakistan.
The British diplomat also thanked Maryam Nawaz for expressing good wishes for her.
