US Ambassador Tours Saudi Arabia’s ‘Security Oasis’ Exhibition

RIYADH: The United States (US) Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Michael Ratney, visited the Saudi Ministry of Interior’s exhibition named “Security Oasis” at the ongoing King Abdulaziz Camel Festival in Al-Sayahid, north of the Riyadh region, reported the Saudi Press Agency. The festival is scheduled to run until the end of December 2023.

During his visit, Ambassador Ratney toured the pavilions, gaining insights into various security sectors and acquainting himself with the ministry’s efforts to maintain security.

He received briefings on key developmental projects, technology investments, and the integration of artificial intelligence applications and digital solutions aimed at enhancing public safety.

The US ambassador also received information about the “Absher” platform, which addresses traffic safety concerns and serves individuals, businesses, and government sectors. 

Moreover, he reviewed technologies and mechanisms in both security and environmental systems, including live shooting experiences in a specialized field, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of weapon handling practices.
