ISLAMABAD: The US Embassy in Islamabad hosted a reception to honor the Pakistan Cricket Team ahead of their departure to the United States for the ICC T20I World Cup 2024.
The US Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Bloom, encouraged the players as they prepared to embark on their journey to the World T20I.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, also attended the reception alongside the American ambassador.
Ambassador Bloom extended his best wishes to the Pakistan cricket team for success in the upcoming mega cricketing event.
As a gesture of goodwill, the US ambassador presented the Pakistani players with a souvenir cricket ball and a signed letter from the embassy.
In return, the Pakistani team presented Ambassador Bloom with an official Pakistan cricket shirt and a signed team badge. Moreover, Ambassador Bloom joined the national team players in a game of cricket.
